THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (1974) This movie is incredible. It’s so straight forward. The first kill just happens so fast and is so simple and then everything else keeps building on that and revealing a little more then a little more. Incredible. 5 Stars.Permalink On twitter.com

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (2003) The first “modern” TCM. Kinda obvious since it’s a reboot, but this most resembles the first one. Missing some important things like the cannibalism, the socio-political commentary, and creepy old man stuff. Still good. 3 starsPermalink On twitter.com

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING (2006) They didn’t have to do a prequel just because they cut off Leatherface’s arm. They could have just had him only have one arm in a sequel or do what tons of 80s slashers did and ignore everything from the last movie. 1.5 StarsPermalink On twitter.com

Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013) The movie kinda cooks for a while until Alexandra Daddario just decides it's cool that her cousin is a mass murderer and killed all her friends. Also the cop is fine with it. Want to give 3 stars, but can’t get past how dumb that is. 2.5 ⭐️Permalink On twitter.com

So the Texas Chainsaw franchise is almost completely dogs shit. The first movie is so good and the second is the only other one that I am glad exists. Happy to have this series behind me and to never watch most of them again.Permalink On twitter.com
