1. There is an active shooter at the Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor. Avoid the area. My wife was there working and told to shelter in place, but her and her co-workers left the building and are safe. Seriously, fuck this country and our stupid gun laws.

    After hearing about all of the disgruntled customers she deals with every day who don’t want to wash their hands or wear masks in the store, I wouldn’t be surprised if the shooter went to the mall specifically to attack someone who refused them service.

18. I guess I’m fully in the leadership track now. I bought books on management from lara_hogan and joulee and I removed code and iTerm from my daily laptop startup routine, since I don’t use them often 💁‍♂️ Oh, and I got promoted to Director of Design Systems Engineering 🎉

20. Today was bittersweet. After 12 years, I left the RocketMortgage headquarters in Detroit for the last time. My last day is tomorrow, but I’ll be working from home. It’s been an incredible run, but I’m excited for a new adventure as a Software Development Manager at amazon

21. 10 years ago today I was laid off at noon and had a job interview scheduled with QuickenLoans by 5pm. Spoiler: I got the job and am almost at my 10 year anniversary!
