Starting my Chucky marathon tonight with Child’s Play (1988). I have seen this, but have very little memory of it.

Early in Child’s Play, Andy brings his mom breakfast in bed. He has orange juice on the tray, but when he hands it to his mom, it’s milk.

God, I love Chucky. Old lady sees him on an elevator and says “ugh, ugly doll” and after the door closes he just says “fuuuck you”.

First movie down. Child’s Play rules. Great thriller. Barely even cheesy. Totally holds up. ★★★★☆

Next: Child’s Play 2 (1990). This was my first Chucky movie. I was 8 and my friend’s step-mom bought us tickets and left us at the theater.

I was so afraid my mom would find out I saw it. I wish I remembered what movie I told her we saw.

I looked it up on box-office mojo. It was The Rescuers Down Under that I told my mom I was seeing.

“You seen dolls that pee? This one bleeds.” Lol. This movie is great.

Child’s Play 2 is not as good as the first, but I like it a lot. Works as a pretty straight forward slasher. Chucky still rules. 3.5 stars.

Time for Child’s Play 3 (1991). This is the one I have the clearest memory of and the last one I’ve seen.

“Just think, Chucky's going to be a bro” -Chucky, in reference to getting his soul into a little black kid.

Not as good as the first, but Child’s Play 3 was always my favorite. ★★★★☆

Starting Bride of Chucky. This is the first one in the series that I’ve never seen.

What’s up with this opening scene in the police evidence room? Am I really supposed to believe that they have Jason and Michael Myers masks?

Like this police station just happens to have all these famous killer’s masks and weapons and Chucky’s in there too? Gtfo.
